    RICHMOND, BC A former Richmond, BC man now believed living in Saskatchewan has been charged with nine counts of animal cruelty in what a SPCA officials are calling one of the most disturbing cases they’ve encountered in recent memory in BC

    Kendall Goheen is accused of stabbing and killing three pets he co-owned with his ex-wife in October.

    SPCA spokeswoman Lorie Chortyk says the family’s 70-pound boxer, Maza, and two cats, Pepper and Liston, suffered multiple stab wounds and trauma before being placed in a freezer in Goheen’s home.

    She says when SPCA officers arrived at the scene Goheen refused to speak to them but left the bodies of the pets in a plastic...

    Mobile-Advertising Company Millennial Media Files for $75 Million IPO

    Millennial Media Inc., the second-
    largest mobile-advertising company in the US, filed for a $75
    million initial public offering.

    The Baltimore-based company hired Morgan Stanley,
    Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Barclays Plc to manage the IPO,
    according to a regulatory filing yesterday. Millennial didn’t
    specify the number or price of shares it will offer in the
    filing. The size is a placeholder amount used to estimate
    registration fees and may change.

    The IPO may value the company at $700 million to $1
    billion, a person with knowledge of the matter said in May.
    Millennial makes money by helping advertisers reach devices such

    Houston-based Spec’s Wines, Spirits Finer Foods is no longer interested in buying Dallas-based Sigel’s Beverages, a Spec’s spokesperson said Thursday.

    “No, we are not buying Sigel’s. We had some negotiations going on, but that’s it,” said Lisa Rydman Key, company spokesperson.

    Key wouldn’t comment on why the liquor store chain, with more than 100 locations across the state, decided not to buy Sigel’s besides saying, “Those kinds of things, we like to keep really private.”
